All Rhenus LCL to go carbon neutral by 2030

[ December 1, 2021   //   ]

Rhenus Group says it will neutralise the carbon emissions of all of its less-than-container-load (LCL) services by 2030. Starting from 2022, cargo shipped out its gateway at Hilden (near Dusseldorf) will be carbon neutral, at no additional costs to customers. The service will then progressively roll out through all Rhenus’ gateways worldwide. The forwarder launched the world’s first CO2 reduction program for airfreight in 2019 whilst on-going green logistics efforts worldwide include a seven-year continuous annual tree-planting programme in India and a Rhenus Group Corporate Forest to support agroforestry projects.
