Another dash of Worcester for Transmec

Groupage operatorTransmec Group has increased its UK warehousing with an extension to its Worcester hub.

It increases capacity from 110,000 to 146,000 sq ft and three sides of the warehouse have been extended with the new areas used for both racking and floor storage.

The project takes Transmec’s UK warehousing space to more than 500,000 sq ft including branches at London Gateway, Redditch and Bradford.

Transmec operates a network of warehouses in eight European countries, including Italy, France, Spain, Germany, Belgium and Poland.

Branch manager, Daniel Holmes, said: “This is a fantastic upgrade that is already making a difference by enabling us to provide storage for new clients. “The Worcester hub is only 20 miles from our facility at Redditch. The two teams work together extremely closely and the ability to move goods from one warehouse to the other provides additional flexibility, which benefits clients.”
