App keeps Damco on the move

[ April 22, 2020   //   ]

Damco says that its business resilience programme has helped it to keep cargo moving despite Covid-19 disruption. The programme, developed over the last 18 months, prepares all staff for over 47 different scenarios, which could disrupt the supply chain, including a pandemic. Local and global teams communicate in real time using an app developed for the program, which also stores information on procedure, as well as providing incident reporting, management functions, and links to relevant contacts. A new instant messaging feature allows the freight forwarder’s business resilience team to contact specific users or groups of users to speed up information flow between local and global offices.
