Arvato opens in Dubai
[ January 27, 2025 // Chris Lewis ]German supply chain specialist Arvato has opened a logistics centre in Dubai. Located in the CommerCity free trade zone, the 3,300sq m warehouse is 10 minutes from Dubai Airport and less than an hour from Jebel Ali Port.
Arvato projects that e-commerce market revenue in the Middle East and North Africa region will reach more than US$160bn by 2029 and its new presence in Dubai will allow it to meet growing demands.
The hub in Dubai will provide a services including general warehousing and fulfillment, transformation and bundling services (VAS), coordination and transport management, order management, incident handling, EDI and transaction monitoring. It also offer services such as IOR / EOR within the Free Zone, brokerage, forecasting, season and launch planning, with flexible workforce ramp-up and KPI measurement and reporting.
Board member at Dubai CommerCity, Amna Lootah, stated: “Arvato’s decision to launch its new site in Dubai speaks volumes of the company’s keen interest in capitalizing on the potential of the region, as well as of its trust in the emirate.”
Arvato managing director of Türkiye and UAE, Umur Özkal, added: “As a global supply chain and e-commerce service provider, we have established our Dubai operations in connection with our successful presence in Türkiye.”
