The Bristol Port Company has welcomed the Energy and Climate Change Select Committee [ECCC]'s report on the Severn Barrage giving the thumbs down to the Hafren Power scheme, on 10 June.
MPs on the committee said they were not convinced that the economic case for the proposed barrage is strong enough and concerns about the environment and job losses had not been fully addressed.
