Stobart Group has completed the sale of its 315,000sq ft distribution centre at Carlisle Airport to real estate fund Gramercy Europe for £16.9m, marking the successful conclusion of the first phase of development at the airport. Stobart acquired the airport in May 2009 for £9.9m in order to develop the remaining 248 acres for logistics, aviation-related and other purposes as well as developing passenger services at the airport.
