United Arab Shipping Company (UASC) christened its LNG-ready ultra large container vessel MV Sajir in Ulsan, Korea on 27 November. The first ship of its kind in the world, it is part of a fleet of 17 similar vessels being build by Hyundai with capacities ranging from 15,000 to 18,800teu.

Maritime services company Inchcape Shipping Services has signed a joint venture agreement with Orient Overseas Container Line (OOCL).
