Bertling to close UK arm

German-owned project freight forwarding and shipping company FH Bertling said it was winding down its UK operation, which would cease trading during 2016, the Wall Street Journal reports. The UK arm of the company is at the centre of investigations by the Serious Fraud Office into allegations of against seven of its employees that they and others attempted to bribe an agent of the Angolan state oil company, Sonangol, between January 2005 and December 2006.
