Blockchain takes the pain out of DHL payments

[ November 7, 2019   //   ]

Deutsche Post DHL Group’s DHL Global Forwarding air and ocean freight arm is working with Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) to deploy a blockchain solution to support logistics payment processing as a more robust alternative to back-end processes which are often error-prone and tedious. The Minimum Viable Product (MVP) solution links HPE and DHL Global Forwarding for management of one-off orders that are not part of standard contracts. MVP makes use of  distributed ledger systems to simplify the approval process and clearly identifies the shipment quotes and the person approving them in immutable records.

Eliminating post–delivery checks for shipment approval can save considerable time while MVP offers customers insight into expected payments, improves accounts receivable and offers a single source of transparency for all parties.
