Budapest cargo hits the 100,000-mark

[ December 8, 2016   //   ]

Air cargo at Budapest Airport hit the 100,000-tonnes mark in late November, according to airport authority figures and the Hungarian gateway expects to break its annual record this year. Growth has come from traditional all-cargo carriers, integrators and bellyhold operators.

The airport is also used as a gateway to Europe by major Chinese corporations; virtually all important commercial destinations around the globe can be reached from Budapest via Luxembourg, Doha, Dubai and Istanbul.
