Business boost for north-east box firm
[ September 9, 2020 // Chris ]Shipping container sales and hire company, Cleveland Containers has invested £300,000 in its new head office in Stockton-on-Tees. The company, which operates nationally out of 15 depots, has also purchased 2.6 acres of land in Grangetown and has built a new depot to store and repair containers, as well as a workshop for bespoke projects.
Despite the Covid pandemic, Cleveland Containers boosted its turnover top over £20.5m, up from £18.1m in 2018. Managing director Johnathan Bulmer said the company supplied over 8,000 containers in 2019, and is on track to provide over 12,000 in 2020. Its customers include businesses in self-storage, construction, hospitality, food and beverage, home and garden and farming, among others.
