Buying group opens Hamburg site

[ December 13, 2022   //   ]

Düsseldorf-based freight buying consortium XSTAFF is to open a new location in Hamburg on 1 January. The new premises are close to the port and will be managed by member of the executive board and chief growth officer, Antonios Rigalos.

XSTAFF moved over 100,000TEU of cargo for the first time  in 2021 and pioneered the concept of ‘own account’ ships from the Far East to Europe, independent of the liner operators during the Covid pandemic and resulting disruption to regular services.

It was formed in October 2016 by COOP Schweiz and the Belgian Colruyt Group. It bundles the contractually guaranteed transport volumes of the network partners, conducting negotiations with the shipping companies in their behalf and helping the members of the network to organize their supply chains. It comprises over 50 network service providers in Europe and Asia.
