Call of the wild

The Sailors’ Society is looking for adventurous types to compete in its Wilderness Challenge fundraising event in Cairngorms National Park. Teams from the shipping and related industries pit their wits against the environment and each other in a bid to raise £2,200 for the charity and support millions of seafarers worldwide.

The challenge, which will take place on Sunday 22 September 2013, will consist of a 50km mountain bike trek through native forests, canoeing 3km on one of the park’s lochs and an 810m walk up Meall a Bhuachaille.
