Car-shipping joint venture

Japan’s Mitsui OSK Lines and Höegh Autoliners of Oslo have set up a 50/50 European joint venture in Europe. The new company, Euro Marine Logistics NV and based in Meise, Belgium, will be among the top three short sea vehicle lines in Europe. From the third quarter 2011, EML will operate 13 vessels in European waters,with capacities ranging from 750 to over 3000 cars. EML already operates an extensive service network in the Mediterranean, Continental Europe, UK and the Baltic.
