Cargo-partner acquires Aztek International

Cargo-partner has acquired the remaining shares in its UK partner Aztek International Freight and plans to further integrate it into the group. The Austrian owned forwarder launched a joint venture with Aztek in 2021.

The move will add new offices in East London and Bradford to Cargo-partner’s existing location in Manchester and increases its staff from 13 to 55.

Cargo-partner chief executive Stefan Krauter, explained: “We have been working with Aztek for 15 years, during which we have mutually helped each other to grow and develop our business. This acquisition will significantly complement our existing service portfolio in the UK, especially in groupage road transport.

“In addition the recently grown team will continue to successfully support clients, keeping their supply chains moving across Europe and navigating the complex new customs requirements following Brexit.”

Besides supporting customers with post-Brexit customs procedures, the logistics provider will also focus on express solutions for time-critical transports. Since opening itsr UK branch, cargo-partner has handled several emergency air freight shipments for customers from the automotive, aerospace, healthcare, retail and consumer industries.

Traditionally Cargo-partner has had a very strong presence in Central and Eastern Europe, but has recently expanded its footprint in Western Europe, also recently adding Ireland, Italy, Spain and Sweden to its network.
