Cargo-partner and partners slash carbon emissions
[ March 25, 2026 // Chris Lewis ]Austrian forwarder Cargo-partner – part of the Nippon Express Holdings – has continued its partnership with the HHLA Pure climate-neutral transport scheme for a third consecutive year. It says the collaboration has resulted in total emissions savings equivalent to the carbon absorbed by over 24,500 trees. The program, developed by Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA) and rail operator Metrans, facilitates CO₂-free container transport by using rail and electrified terminal operations, with any residual carbon emissions offset through Gold Standard-certified climate protection schemes.
