Cash boost for Verbrugge

London-based investment firm iCON Infrastructure Partners II has taken a 32% stake in Dutch-Belgian ports and logistics operator Verbrugge International.Martin Verbrugge will continue to be the majority owner of Verbrugge and iCON II will be providing substantial new funding to Verbrugge to support the company’s further growth and development. There will be no changes to Verbrugge’s executive management or workforce. Verbrugge operates port terminals at Terneuzen, Vlissingen and Zeebrugge on the Scheldt Estuary, together with ancillary warehousing, marine and logistics businesses. Key products handled by Verbrugge include pulp and paper, fertilizers, minerals, steel and metals.
