Cherbourg handles Irish trailer no. 100,000

[ December 23, 2021   //   ]

Cherbourg Port handled its 100,000th trailer travelling between Ireland and France on 22 December. The port has multiplied its roll-on/roll-off traffic by three in a year as Brexit has made the route more competitive compared to the UK landbridge, with  Stena Line, Irish Ferries and Brittany Ferries operating services to Rosslare or Dublin with an average crossing time of 17 hours and up to three departures a day.
