China VAT switch

China is switching from Nationwide Business Tax (BT) to Value-added Tax (VAT) for freight forwarders and will affect invoicing procedures, reports the Expeditors website. Forwarders will have to use the special VAT invoice for freight transportation services including a 6% VAT fee.
