Container transport set to go hyper

[ July 6, 2021   //   ]

US research company Hyperloop Transportation Technologies and Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA) will present a virtual reality demonstrator of a new transport concept at the ITS World Congress.
The partners say that their HyperPort sytem will be a plug-and-play solution for port operators, making it possible to transport up to 2,800 containers a day at high speed over hundreds of kilometres. Individual transport capsules provide room for two 20-foot or one 40- or 45-foot standard or high cube container.
Hyperloop TT has already carried the first passengers on its demonstration line in the US.
