Cool partners step up cooperation

[ July 24, 2012   //   ]

Logistics service providers Post-Kogeko, Visbeen and DailyFresh Logistics said they planned to step up their cooperation and expand the scope of their services.

The companies specialise in refrigerated and frozen food logistics including a frozen food logistics, distribution network in Benelux and chilled transport of fresh produce to and from many European countries.

Post-Kogeko’s Managing Director, Frans Denie, explained: “In combination, we see more opportunities to implement innovations and offer new logistics solutions in order to create a denser network. As developers of new concepts and the managers and operators of our services, we will be able to offer our customers more added value – something the market is increasingly demanding from us.’

Post-Kogeko and Visbeen are already partners in DailyFresh Logistics since 1998 with daily transport of vegetables and fruit to the UK and German markets and recently began operating a new intermodal service for refrigerated and frozen shipments between Spain, Portugal, the UK and the Netherlands.

Adrie Visbeen of the Visbeen Transport Group added: “We expect to make increasingly frequent use of intermodal transport in the future, by water as well as by rail. We also intend to expand the number of European destinations to enable us to serve our customers on a wider scale.”
