Customs Support Group operates operations director

Customs Support Group (CSG) has appointed Wes Yardley as UK and IE operations director. He brings 25 years experience in areas including customs operations, brokerage and regulations, freight management, 3PL, warehousing and goods imports and was most recently European head of customs for Ceva Logistics.

His appointment comes as CSG continues with its UK expansion plans, with Gary Harrold moving to a new role of trade operations director.

Yardley said: “For me, customs is no longer a value-added service – it is a critical piece of all supply chains and Customs Support Group has the foundations, expertise and ambition to be a leader in this market. My background has been built on understanding how operations really work, how productivity within customs operations is measured and how small structural improvements can drive significant improvement in results.

“In uncertain times, customers need confidence, consistency and clear guidance from their customs brokers. My experience will allow me to contribute to these expectations, while ensuring we remain agile and reactive to an ever-changing global landscape.
