Dachser buys out Scots partner

German forwarding and logistics company Dachser is to acquire its Scottish partner, Drummond Distribution, for an undislclosed sum.

In 2025, Drummond generated revenue of around £20 million with around 175 employees. it operates five locations across the Central Belt area between Glasgow and Edinburgh. The acquisition includes some 6,500sq m of warehouse space, along with a fleet of around 100 trucks and 80 trailers.

 Established in 1927, the family-owned company has been a Dachser partner since 2008, connecting Scottish customers to Dachser’s European Logistics network.

Dachseer said that as it currently has no locations within this region, the acquisition would enhance its network coverage without creating overlapping structures and the existing management team, led by Damon Burns, would remain in place. As the current owners gradually transition out of the business, the management team will report to Mark Rollinson, managing director of Dachser UK & Ireland.
