Dangerous goods firm in line for business award

[ April 25, 2022   //   ]

Darlington-based Exis Technologies, which provides IT solutions for the management of dangerous goods by sea, has been shortlisted for two North East Business Awards, in the Innovation and Technology and Small Business categories.

Winners will be announced at a Teesside Business Awards ceremony on 23 June. If successful, Exis will then go on to the judging for the Grand Final for the North East region to take place on 29 September, where the overall winners for each category will be announced.

The award identifies companies that have launched the most innovative new product or service or who may have built or embraced new technology.

Exis’s entry is based on its cargo screening tool, Hazcheck Detect, used by three top ten container lines, Maersk, ONE and Hapag Lloyd which screens approximately 25 million cargo requests monthly, identifying on average 30,000 suspicious cases a day.
