[ October 5, 2017   //   ]

Freight forwarders Davies Turner and Militzer & Münch France have joined forces to develop services between the UK and the major countries of the Maghreb region of North Africa.

The two companies have signed a partnership agreement to increase their business between the UK and Morocco, Tunisia and Algeria.

M&M France is now handling import and export road shipments between the UK and Morocco and Tunisia. Most of the Algerian business is export and will also be operated by the French forwarder. The partners will offer groupage as well as full truck services.

Militzer & Münchsays it  expects a substantial increase of its business thanks to Davies Turner’s position as UK’s top international forwarder with a significant presence in Morocco through their affiliate’s office, DTCO Maroc in Tangier.  The partnership will also help Davies Turner to further develop access to the Tunisian and Algerian markets and it will also benefit from Militzer & Münch’s expertise in the coordination of industrial flows, especially in Morocco where Davies Turner is already strong in the textile segment. M&M Morocco’s facilities in Casablanca and Tangier will offer customs clearance solutions in private bonded warehouses.

Militzer & Münch France is the French subsidiary of the well-known German group, with sales of €143 million in 2016, while the number of  M&M branches in France has doubled in six years.

On 4 October Militzer & Münch announced that it was setting up an affiliate in the Algerian capital, Algiers
