A team of 27 cyclists has raised more than £41,000 to support Transaid’s life-saving road safety and healthcare projects in sub-Saharan Africa

The two-day, 225 km challenge saw riders cycle from Dorking to the Isle of Wight, tackling demanding climbs and varied terrain along the way. Participants represented 10 businesses from across the transport and logistics sector, with generous support from event sponsors Dawsongroup and Stanley Travel. Lucketts Travel also provided complimentary return coach travel for all riders.

Transaid events manager, Anna Giavedoni, said: “This challenge was no leisurely ride around the island, but as always, our cyclists dug deep. We’re incredibly grateful for the passion, commitment and fundraising efforts shown by everyone involved.”
