Delta to reorganise cargo as Tony Charaf retires

Delta Air Lines is restructuring its cargo organisation to align it more closely to the passenger business. Cargo sales will become part of the global sales team, and cargo operations will be aligned with airport customer service. The move follows senior vice president and chief cargo officer, Tony Charaf’s decision to retire on 1 August after 18 years of service. Under the new structure, vice president of global cargo sales, Ray Curtis, will report to senior VP global sales, Steve Sear, while the cargo operations team under managing director – Global cargo operations, Scott Barkley, will report to SVP – airport customer service, Bill Lentsch.
