DFDS ships go green

Six DFDS freight vessels are to be refitted to receive onshore power in the ports of Immingham, Gothenburg and Ghent. It will help reduce emissions and noise from the ships in the terminal area. DFDS said it had received “substantial support” from the European Commission as well as from Volvo Group Belgium, Port of Ghent and the Port of Gothenburg.
