DHL appoints chief exec for drinks logistics arm

DHL Global Forwarding has appointed Dominique von Orelli as chief executive of its Hillebrand Gori drinks logistics arm. He succeeds Tim Scharwath, chief executive of DHL Global Forwarding, Freight, who had been leading the business in a dual role and has driven the integration of Hillebrand Gori. DHL acquired UK-based Hillebrand in March 2022 and integrated it with its existing Gori beverages logistics business. Von Orelli will continue to report to Tim Scharwath and will maintain responsibility for Ocean Freight in the coming months in addition to his new role. From 1 September, Casper Ellerbaek will join DHL Global Forwarding, succeeding von Orelli as the new global head of ocean freight.
