DHL joins forces with Nordic post offices

DHL, Finnish postal operator Posti and, Bring a subsidiary of Posten Norge, the Norwegian postal operator, are to join forces to offer a dedicated B2C infrastructure for parcel deliveries across Scandinavia, Finland and the Baltic states.
The delivery network in Scandinavia, Finland and the Baltics will be the largest in these markets and will include 6,500 parcel shops and parcel stations by the end of 2016. (Delivery to customers’ doors are not normal in these countries.)
Saturday delivery will be offered and there will be a system to notify recipients of the likely arrival time of their item, along with return solutions to all European markets DHL Parcel operates in.
The non-exclusive cooperation that will come into effect on 1 April further extends DHL Parcel’s network for cross-border e-commerce by seven countries.
DHL Parcel now serves 16 of the most important European e-commerce markets and offers online retailers a harmonized network with standardized services.
