DHL offers Gulf-North Africa alternative

[ July 15, 2021   //   ]

DHL’s Saloodo! digital road freight platform is offering a new road freight connection between the Gulf (Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman) and Egypt, Libya and Sudan North Africa. BeduConnect was set up to connect countries of the Arabian Peninsula with North African trading partners due to tight capacity in air and sea freight.
Saloodo! chief executive for Middle East and Africa, Tobias Maier, said: “Road freight is particularly effective here, as it is cheaper than air freight and has faster lead times than ocean freight. BeduConnect makes it easier for shippers to identify trusted carriers, help carriers manage their fleets and optimize their capacity.”
BeduConnect is available for full-truck-loads.
