Digital forwarder signs data deal

[ June 15, 2021   //   ]

Digital freight forwarder Shifl has signed a collaboration deal with the Terminal49 container and shipment tracking platform in order to improve data accuracy and end-to-end visibility for its customers.

Terminal49 gathers data such as departure, arrival, vessel voyage, ETAs and container availability, gate-in, gate-out information, and milestones as they occur. The data from Terminal49’s ocean freight visibility platform is then integrated into Shifl’s operations, giving users access to information about their shipments as events occur.

Accuracy is ensured by cross-checking Shifl’s data against Terminal49’s carrier and terminal data—making erroneous information in any of the documents practically impossible, say the partners.
