Dover’s Eastern Docks escapes storm damage

[ October 29, 2013   //   ]

The Port of Dover’s main ferry terminal at Eastern Docks escaped serious damage during the storms of 28 October although parked cars were innundated at the main cruise terminal at Western Docks. Damage at the Eastern Docks was restricted to some sheet cladding. Staff from all sections of the port also found time to clear shingle washed up onto the seafront. The port was closed for about 2 ½ hours at the height of the storm but has since resumed normal operations.
