DP World signs Namibia development deal

DP World has signed a memorandum of understanding with Namibia’s Nara Namib Free Economic Industrial Zone to develop an industry and logistics area in Walvis Bay. It will offer development-ready land for industrial and logistics operations, pre-built warehouses and office accommodation. Development of the first 50 hectares phase of the zone could create 3,000 jobs and help attract US$237 million of investment while future expansion to 1,500 hectares is expected to increase the potential investment to around US$1.7 billion with 20,000 job opportunities.
