DSV does the daily as Pound slumps

[ September 16, 2016   //   ]

Groupage operator DSV has stepped up its services and now serves 80% of its destinations daily, in the wake of the Pound’s devaluation. The 11% fall versus the Euro has boosted UK exports to Europe, it says.
DSV now operates every day from its UK hubs to Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Holland, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Norway, Poland, Spain, Sweden and Ukraine.

Jesper Hansen, Managing Director for DSV Road Ltd, commented: “Despite the uncertainty of this first half of 2016, our customers are rising to the challenge and seizing the opportunities that the devalued pound presents. To support our exports, customers and meet this increase in demand, we now service 80% of our destinations on a daily basis and we aim to continue this development with more countries delivering a daily service in the coming months.”
