E-CMR could solve Brexit puzzle says IRU

[ January 9, 2020   //   ]

The UK’s ratification in December of the e-CMR protocol will go a long way towards overcoming potential Brexit barriers, says the International Road Transport Union.

The UK is the 24th country to endorse the digital version of the United Nations Convention for the carriage of goods via road offers lower costs, faster administrative processes and greater transparency, it says.

The e-CMR protocol enables transport operators and drivers to use an electronic version of the traditionally paper-based CMR consignment note.
