Early delivery for London Gateway development

[ January 11, 2022   //   ]

DP World says it will fast-track delivery of a speculative 119,000sq ft green warehouse at its London Gateway Logistics Park to meet unprecedented demand for space at the freeport site, its second speculative facility in less than a year. It will be ready for occupation at the end of the third quarter and will offer a BREEAM ‘Outstanding’ classification with a 30% carbon reduction during construction and 40% lower operational emissions.

The port operator says that a growing number of businesses are taking advantage of the financial incentives which come with being part of a freeport.

It follows the announcement two months ago that a 108,973sq ft unit at the site had been leased to document management firm OASIS Group.

Park development director Oliver Treneman says the port operator has had its best year for new business in a decade, adding: “We are very confident that the facility will be of interest to some of the dozens of retail, manufacturing and logistics businesses looking to expand or establish new operations who have contacted us to take advantage of the unique opportunities on offer since our freeport status was announced.”
