Ekol expands French operation

The French aim of Turkish-owned logistics specialist Ekol has opened new branches in Paris and Lyon.

The Paris facility will concentrate mainly on national and international distribution and comprises a 1,600sq m warehouse, truck parking for 20 vehicles and a maintenance garage. It will also manage Ekol’s rail connection between Paris and Sete and develop more connections with the north of Europe,” said country manager, Tuğrul Sarıkahya.

Lyon will also handle some national and international distribution but will be mostly a freight forwarding agency as well as cross dock operations and express services. It comprises a 2000sq m warehouse and parking for 20 vehicles. It will also have its own customs service.

It will also create new traffic lines to Eastern and Southern countries in Europe, said Tuğrul Sarıkahya.

Ekol has operated  in France since 2012 and offers road, sea and rail connections including Ekol’s own ro ro service between Izmir and  Sete.
