[ August 15, 2012   //   ]

Emirates is to resume passenger flights between Dubai and Tripoli on 29 October, for the first since the Libyan revolution 18 months ago. They will be operated by an Airbus A330-200 four days a week, offering 15 tonnes of cargo capacity per flight.

The carrier also reinstated passenger flights to Erbil in Iraq, on 12 August as planned. Emirates was already operating a 777F freighter three times a week and the new passenger flight will add a further 13 tonnes cargo capacity.
