Emirates gains ACC3 status
[ May 6, 2014 // Chris ]Emirates has become the first Middle East carrier to complete security validation for its Dubai hub under European Union’s ACC3 scheme for air cargo carriers operating from third countries – ahead of the deadline on 1 July. Failure to complete the validation could have prohibited Emirates from transporting cargo into Europe. Emirates’ divisional senior vice president-group security Dr Abdulla Al Hashimi said the carrier was now seeking similar validation at other stations from where it regularly operates freighter flights direct to the EU.
