Emirates orders more A380s
[ January 18, 2018 // Chris ]Emirates airline has signed a US$ 16 billion deal for 20 more Airbus A380 aircraft, with options for a further 16. The super-large planes will be delivered from 2020 onwards and bring Emirates’ commitment to the A380 programme to 178 aircraft, worth over US$ 60 billion.
The announcement came days after Airbus warned that it would halt production of the type if orders did not materialise.
Emirates is already by far the largest Airbus A380 operator with 101 in service today.
