Equal opportunities on the bridge

[ March 7, 2019   //   ]

Stena Line has marked International Women’s Day on 8 March with a new policy to focus on Equality and Inclusion. The ferry operator is committed to maintaining and developing a sustainable working environment, free from harassment, where everyone is given equal opportunities regardless of age, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, ethnicity or disability.
Its long term goal is a minimum of 30% female leaders by 2022 and work has already started on new anti-harassment and equal opportunities policies, says head of people, Margareta Jensen Dickson.
In 2018 Stena Line also signed the Maritime UK “Women in Maritime Pledge” committing to “building an employment culture that actively supports and celebrates gender diversity, at all levels, throughout our organisation, and our industry”.
