Europa launches LCL to the Gulf

[ April 8, 2024   //   ]

Europa Group’s forwarding arm, Europa Air & Sea has launched a weekly consolidated ocean freight service between the UK and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. The less than container load (LCL) service will operate from London Gateway Port to Jebel Ali port in Dubai, using Europa’s own consolidation containers. From Dubai, the service delivers to Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain and Kuwait.

General manager – UAE & India, Nathan Lynn, said: “Trade between the GCC and UK is worth approximately £61.5 billion. If negotiations over a Free Trade Agreement continue at pace, this could increase by 16%. It’s important that freight providers have the infrastructure in place to guarantee a frictionless movement of goods.

Europa Air & Sea also recently rolled out its LeoWeb customer platform for the real-time tracking of data, order management and online quote request features, information that has proven to be invaluable in the Red Sea Crisis, providing accurate ETAs and vital communication updates.

Europa Air & Sea opened an office in Dubai in June 2022, and since then has expanded into Delhi, India and opened a second Chinese office in Shenzhen.
