Europa offers plain sailing with LeoSea

[ May 26, 2020   //   ]

Europa Air & Sea has launched the first stage of its LeoSea IT solution. It aims to improve efficiency and accuracy, while reducing paperwork. Initially focused on export bookings, it will be rolled out to imports later this year.

It took six months to develop by Europa’s in-house team working in close consultation with the sea freight team in Birmingham.

LeoSea is the latest stage of Europa’s Leonardo bespoke IT system which will eventually provide a fully harmonised system for every aspect of the business’s operations. Europa has already launched 10 different Leonardo modules from road freight to finance.

With the launch of LeoSea customers will also see more integration with other Leonardo modules such as LeoFinance and, utimately once LeoSea is complete customers will be able to utilise LeoClear,- which manages customs clearance, payment of duty and VAT, as well as the customer portal LeoWeb.

The LeoSea launch was managed by Alan Wheal, who said: “Compared with the previous sea freight solution, LeoSea is slick and easy to use and has been embraced by the whole team, who have until this point had very little experience of any of our Leonardo solutions.”

Europa IT director, Richard Litchfield (pictured), added: “It is extremely rewarding to see the Leonardo suite continue to evolve and contribute to the growth and overall success of the business.”
