Europa plans daily Ruhr run

[ May 10, 2017   //   ]

Europa Road has signed a partnership with German forwarding company, Loxx, headquartered in Gelsenkirchen in the Ruhr. The UK operator will offer a further daily service between the UK and Germany bringing its total to seven in each direction.

Europa operations director Dan Cook said the new partnership with Loxx, combined with Europa’s existing relationship with Panalpina in Dusseldorf, would improve service and transit times to a key industrial area.

He said: “Loxx is an independent and privately owned business, of a similar size to Europa, with a similar dedication to European road freight – so it is a perfect partner to help us boost our presence and reach in Germany. The Ruhr region is one of the most active areas in Europe with a high level of imports and exports alike – so it makes sense to us to share our business here between two partners to enhance our service levels and increase competitiveness.”

Alexander Brockt of Loxx added: “This new partnership offers us and our customers a reliable solution for the physical distribution of our cargo throughout our network, which is strengthened by Europa’s excellent IT system that has a very timely track and trace function which is not common in most European countries.”
