Europa plugs the holes in its Swiss network

Europa Road has signed a new partnership arrangement with Magsped in Switzerland. The Dartford-based groupage operator said it would reduce export and import lead times and allow the launch of a daily service in both directions from 1 March. Magsped’s network covers the whole country including Basel, Zürich, Lucerne, Bern, Lausanne, and Geneva and Europa Road offers door-to-door collection and delivery within 48/72 hours, dependent on the location.

Operations director at Europa Worldwide Group Dan Cook (pictured) said: “By working with Magsped we can provide an improved seamless service using our expert in-house customs clearance expertise. Magsped’s excellent network coverage across prime locations allows us to transport goods seamlessly. But most of all the aligned ambitions of our two companies to invest in a true daily structured service is absolutely market leading and very exciting”

Managing director at Magsped, Beat Schweighauser, commented: “We’re pleased to be supporting Europa’s customers with this new service – where we can work together to provide the highest level of distribution, ensuring short and reliable transit times. We can guarantee a prompt delivery service to local UK customers.”
