Fargo to provide PD Ports transport system
[ June 27, 2018 // Chris ]PD Ports has appointed Fargo Systems to provide transport management solutions to its logistics arm. PD Ports will be using the TOPS transport management system for functions including job planning and booking to routing vehicles and invoicing. A trial of the platform is currently in progress following which full roll out will begin.
General manager of PD Ports’ Transport Division, Russell Spink, stated: “Our transport department has been growing over the past two years with an increase in vehicles of more than double and the addition of 20 new staff members. To ensure we are managing and maintaining our growth it is important for us to implement a new traffic management system.
“Using the TOPS platform will allow us to run the day to day operational tasks more efficiently, improve driver communication and provide better customer reporting.”
