Fast boot-up for Davies Turner contract

[ May 5, 2020   //   ]

Davies Turner has handled a shipment donated by the Hunter Boot company for the London Ambulance Service – 25 pallets of Women’s Original Tall wellingtons, which help protect staff in the fight against COVID-19.

Hunter Boot recently appointed Davies Turner as its UK logistics partner to handle all inbound freight forwarding of products into the UK, plus warehousing, as well as pick and pack operations, and national and European distribution, based at Davies Turner’s national logistics centre at Avonmouth, near Bristol.

Davies Turner director Alan Williams, said: “We’ve recently won this contract, so this urgent and special delivery to London’s Ambulance Service was the perfect opportunity to demonstrate, for such a valuable cause, that our actions could speak as loudly as the words and commitments in our service contract.”

The fulfilment team in Bristol worked quickly to pick and pack boots of various sizes ready for transportation on one of the overnight feeder vehicles under the supervision of Bogi Fricska (pictured).
