Birmingham-based time critical logistics specialist BDA Logistics Innovation triumphed in the SME Operations category of the Storage, Handling and Distribution Awards in Birmingham.
BDA offers a through-the-night pre 8am spare parts delivery service to most of the UK from mainland Europe using its own fleet of freight only aircraft, airside and landside hubs and GPS tracked delivery vehicles operating out of 10 locations throughout the UK and Ireland.
BDA group managing director Kevin Turner said: “Over the past 12 months, we have made significant investments, such as the latest cargo screening technology and real-time GPS tracking, as well as putting significant resources into staff recruitment and our fleet of aircraft and delivery vehicles. All this has enabled us to satisfy our client’s requirements for higher speed door-to-door services and in turn has resulted in further significant growth.”
PD Ports won the Corporate Social Responsibility trophy for its work with the High Tide Foundation, which it co-founded in 2012, which has worked with more than 4,000 young people across 35 local schools, supported by 80 private sector businesses.
