FCL Global Expansion

The latest edition to the FCL Global Forwarding team is Kimberley Price, who joins from Maersk Line. Kimberley was the account manager for FCL Global Forwarding during her time in Maersk Line and through positive dealings with the company decided to join the team. She will cover the North West of England as logistics consultant and Paul O’malley, Commercial Director at FCL feels sure Kimberley will be a big hit.

‘Kimberley was our account manager during her time with Maersk Line, which gave us an insight into her customer centric approach to doing business. Kimberley was genuinely interested in helping us achieve our goals and built some excellent relationships with the FCL team in the process. In addition to her excellent people skills, Kimberley brings a wealth of knowledge and high level of business acumen to our company. After numerous offers from other players in the industry, we are pleased that Kimberley decided to join our team’.

He continues,

‘There is a clear appetite for our multimodal services in the market, as our figures demonstrate. It is our aim to ensure that this demand is satisfied, and to do this we have had to identify and hire the most talented industry sales professionals out there’

‘We have had a very high level of customer service, scoring 93.6% on our most recent satisfaction survey. We understand we cannot rest on our laurels and must regularly challenge our people to find innovative ways to enhance our customer experience. This is always a top priority for us as we pride ourselves on our customer service, and this will remain the case going forward.’

FCL Global Forwarding has been growing exponentially year on year in terms of head count, offices, customers and revenue. Their strategy for the future is to continue on the upwards trajectory and increase market share. With Kimberley on board they believe they will have great success in achieving this. FCL’s consultants have had fairly large sales patches to cover previously, and due to the surge in business they have felt it necessary to head hunt some new talent to take on the welcome growth in the customer base.

FCL Global Forwarding are currently in the process of acquiring an independent Airfreight Forwarder in Heathrow and expect the deal to be completed and services available to use by the end of Q1, 2016. The fast growing multimodal company plan to implement the same principals and levels of service that have yielded so much success into the Air Freight product. It is believed that this Airfreight product will be a huge growth drive for the company in 2016.
